Ep 57: NEW TRACK: “After the Storm”

Using Nature as Metaphor

Today’s track is called “After the Storm,” and it represents the newness – the freshness – that I experience after the rains have passed and the sun breaks through the clouds. It’s like a rebirth, a new beginning. I’m looking forward, and I’m thinking forward to what’s possible, now that the storm has passed.

What’s interesting is that I don’t think twice about the fact that there was a storm in the first place. I don’t resent or lament the storm. In fact, once it passes, I hardly give it a second thought, even if it’s left some sort of damage. I think that’s because, in my head, I’ve given nature permission to be what it is. I just accept it and don’t resist whatever comes. However, I’m NOT that way in other areas of my life. For example, when I fail or fall short of my expectations in business, I lament whatever happened, and sometimes dwell upon the metaphorical storm that occurred for weeks, months, or even years.

After the Storm is a reminder to me that I can look forward in business, just as I do in nature. It’s a choice. Hopefully, you’ll experience the joy and serenity I feel after the storm in nature, and may we all find the way to looking forward past whatever storms are in our recent past. Enjoy, and if you like it, please let me know either through a review on Apple or even an email or FB or IG shout-out! It REALLY means a lot to me.
